How to DONATE fabric, sewing supplies, and sewing machines to SewGreen. | |
WHAT TO DO WITH UNWANTED FABRIC
Time to clear out the stash? SewGreen accepts donations of usable fabric that is clean and folded. Yardage is the most useful but scraps are okay, too. We use the material in our classes, donate it to other charitable programs, or offer it for resale at affordable prices. The idea is to get good, usable materials back into circulation, and to keep items from going to the landfill.
We also accept donations of sewing and needlecraft supplies, and sewing machines of any vintage. Please observe our guidelines, and thank you!

Reuse will help save our only home.
Volunteer with us!
SewGreen is holding two Volunteer Open Houses in July. Drop by, see our classroom, and learn more about what we do. Stay longer and we'll put you to work! Two times: 11 am - 4 pm, Wednesday, July 16 and 11 am - 4 pm, Wednesday, July 23.
Make Your Own Reusable Tote!
To make your own reusable tote from reused materials, follow the simple pattern for a "Caroline Bag," posted here.

"ReMake a T" workshops
Create a new fashion, bag, laptop cozy, pillow cover etc., using just scissors and recycled t-shirts. We'll come to your class or group to present this easy, hands-on activity that also promotes sustainable style. Contact us for details.
